“From a very young age, passion for the sea and specifically fishing drove me to ensure I gave something back to the community I belong to.
“Driven by this vision, coupled with a life long passion for fishing and equipped with a Scottish degree ; Ganesh Nakhwa , a seventh generation fisherman from the island of Karanja, set out to improve the lives  of fisher folks in India by working closely with the community and government across south Asia on multiple key issues pertaining to the fishing industry and highlighting key challenges that the industry faces
