The Kulaba fort, an architectural & engineering marvel, strategically located in the Mumbai harbour, just off the coast of Alibag, was the center of ship building & trading activities at the peak of the erstwhile Maratha Naval prowess in the region and was also a witness to a battle way back in 1721.
